Photoshop skills learnt

Magnetic Lasso tool
The magnetic lasso tool is something I learnt that has been really useful. What it does is it notices a change in the colours of the pixels and laches onto that divide to help you crop usual shapes out so you can layer your work. This helped me layer the image of dripping blood over a picture of my own hands to make it look like they were was a pair of bloodied hands. If I had used the rubber tool it would have taken so much longer to get the hands to look like that and layer the two images properly.

Soft brush and palate
I used this tool to help me paint some extra blood on my hands to make them look extra gothic to make it comply with horror-thriller genres that I have used in my music video.

Text editing
With the text editing, I was able to create a text layer to help create a great coloured font that went with my ancillary product. I had to learn this from a youtube video as I had no idea what I was doing, and how to make the text look good. Another thing I learnt I could do with text is to change the width between the letters to space the text out to fit the a4 size of my poster. This made my magazine ad look more professional as most ad's and posters use this technique, including the ones I have analysed.

Group Layering
I learnt how to group layers which made the editing process so much easier as I could move all the layers into one section and treat them as one layer/ image and move them if needed.

Image perspective tool
I used the image perspective tool to change the perspective of the window in the background. This made the advertisement look more central and aesthetic.
