Actors

Image
Young actor: Thomas Searle Luckily I had the perfect young actor to play the younger character in my narrative that I new well.  he lives locally and was very willing to act in my film and fit the exact descriptions of what I wanted. He is 11 years old and has done previous work in acting with the local drama group. Protagonist actor: Joey Robson I auditions an actor in my drama class who had done a lot of previous work in acting doing performances not only inside of school but outside. He was exactly the actor I needed as he fit all the characteristics and looks of the protagonist I had envisioned in my mind. This combined with his experience made him perfect for role in my video.

Casting: who I'd like

Image
For the protagonist: Tom Hiddleston I think Tom Hiddleston would be an effective protagonist as he is a very talented actor I think he could play my traumatised character very well. This is good as Music videos rely on visuals so the acting and facial expressions are really important for conveying the storyline. He also has a sad looking face and is very good at acting out emotions without speaking and thats why I would want him in my music video as he would only be able to physically act rather than acting vocally. For the child getting killed (the victim): Davis Cleveland I have chosen Davis as he look like a the reckless child that will get accidentally killed for his recklessness, yet he still has an innocent face so the audience will feel pity and emotion toward him getting killed. Using a child actor makes the story more dramatic because taking a child's life is much worse and looked down upon way more than if an adult were to get accidentally killed. This will make...

Locations

Image
For my locations I think I'm going to have it in nature setting and I think I'm going to focus on extreme long shots and long shots and extreme close ups to focus on the struggle of the accident the protagonist has gone through when it happens and the effect it has after. the close ups in contrasts with the long shots focus on how his struggle is personal to him but compared to the rest of the world and the dramatic empty landscape he is just small and insignificant. I live in a village surrounded by countryside that I can use to film in, also my Uncle has a drone which i can borrow to create the extreme long shots and areal shots of the person. visuals: Actual countryside outside my house that I'm going to use: I will have a lot of atmospheric shots of glass windows as the theme of religion helping this man with his personal struggles. I would like to capture the light shining through the coloured class windows. The shots that I want: The church that I...

Storyboard

Image
This story board does not go in order as all I need is similar types of shots, and whats in them rather, than the order. This is as my video focuses on the protagonists life during and after the event of the young boy's death. Some of these shots will be flash backs to an event that has already happened in the protagonists life. The editing will show the differences between now and then and I will edit the order and the lighting in the shots in the editing process to differentiate between past and present. This shot will be at the beginning of the music video hinting at murder and that the narrative of the music video is going to be very dark. This will almost prepare the audience for what they are about to see. This close up of the protagonist's face at the beginning will represent what they have seen and that they are looking back and remembering the past. This is going to be a shot of the young boy alive, this close up will make the viewer literally ...
