Storyboard

This story board does not go in order as all I need is similar types of shots, and whats in them rather, than the order. This is as my video focuses on the protagonists life during and after the event of the young boy's death. Some of these shots will be flash backs to an event that has already happened in the protagonists life. The editing will show the differences between now and then and I will edit the order and the lighting in the shots in the editing process to differentiate between past and present.

This shot will be at the beginning of the music video hinting at murder and that the narrative of the music video is going to be very dark. This will almost prepare the audience for what they are about to see.

This close up of the protagonist's face at the beginning will represent what they have seen and that they are looking back and remembering the past.

This is going to be a shot of the young boy alive, this close up will make the viewer literally and metaphorically feel closer to him, and it will make them slightly emotionally attached and sad when he passes away.

This shot will show the protagonist, but the shot will be out of focus. This will represent that his vision is blurred and that the truth about this character, in the eyes of the audience, is hazy.

This shot is going to be of the protagonists face behind bars telling the audience that he has done wrong and now he is facing punishment, as it looks like his is in prison. This will also engage audcances as they will want to know why he is there.

This shot of a watch spinning round will represent that time is running out and that time is catching up to him. It will also show that time has gone on and now we are in the future.

With this shot, I will have it of a time before when the boy was alive, then a quick shot after of the same location with him not there. This will represent that he has died.

His is a shot of the young boy running and playing around not looking where he is going. This is to show that the boy has not a care in the world and isn't paying attention.

This shot is of the boy climbing over the fence fast before going onto the road where he gets run over. This shot will have a dutch tilt and will be distorted to show the audience that something is wrong.

This shot is of the light coming through the church window showing the protagonists hand. This shows that he is trying to reach hope and go towards the light. This is supposed to be a shot with dramatic lighting and will be athletically pleasing and will match with the dramatic lyrics.

This will be a close up of the protagonists face. This will show his regret and the close up will help the audience emotionally connect with the character.

This shot will be of the young boy in the past playing with his toy. When ever you see the young boy he will be holding this toy and this will represent him and the memory of him. I really play around with the proxemics of this.

This shot of the car going really fast down a road. this road happens to be the road the child is about to cross, after seeing this shot the audience might be able to connect the two shots and link the narrative together.

This is a shot of the protagonist standing at the gate remembering the accident where he killed the young boy, however the audience wont really clearly know it was him until the end. This shot will show him in distress.

This is a mid shot of the protagonist in the car driving to reveal that he is the one driving the speeding car.

This is a close up of the young boys face covered with blood to show that he has been really injured and possibly killed by this. The audience wont know properly if he died to later in the video.

This shot of fire will show the raging chaos of whats happening and this shot will be shown at the build up of the song to intensify whats being shown.

This shot will be of the protagonist looking back to what he has done and where it took place and feeling remorse about it.

This shot of a wilting rose will represent life and death. The rose represents the beauty of it and the thorns will represent the harsh reality of it.

This shot of the bible will show how the protagonist is going to religion for forgiveness for the crime he has committed.

This shot will show the protagonist in the car speeding down the road. You will see the actor in the car but it will be filmed from the outside of the car.

This will show the the protagonist again in the church looking towards god. This shot again will use intense dramatic lighting.

This shot will show another close up of the protagonists face but this time he will be in extreme stress, and will be sweating as he is stressed about what he has done and how that is going to effect him.

This is an atmospheric shot of leaves with frost on them. This shot will most likely appear at the beginning of the video to set the scene.

This is shot of a candle that will be in the church. You will later see a shot of the candle being blown out to represent the end of life. The light of someones life has been blown out.

This shot will be of the protagonist with blood on their hands. This will be another really dramatic shot.

This will hopefully be a arial shot of the protagonist walking through the fields near where the accident happened. This will be another intense dramatic shot.

This is a shot of the protagonist on a bench near where the accident took place again in intense distress and discomfort.

This is a shot of the protagonist at a graveyard showing that he has gone to see the grave of the child he has killed.

This will be another atmospheric shot of the protagonist walking through the fields. I would like it to be an arial shot if I could hire a drone.

This end shot will shot the protagonist with the toy of the young child in his hand from the day of the accident, leaving the video with a dramatic ending.
